3 Sites to Help Beat the Creative Blues

3 Sites to Help Beat the Creative Blues

There is nothing more frustrating than being in a creative rut. It happens to the best of us. However, with deadlines looming, you sometimes need to get out of the jam sooner rather than later. Here are some sites we go to whenever we hit the wall.

1) YouTube: There is no better way to disconnect than with one of the millions of videos on YouTube. From the inspirational to the satirical, it's got it all. You may just need a quick laugh to help get your creative thinking back on track.

2) Flickr: How awesome is Flickr for inspiration? This particular blog post is a perfect example. We typed in "writer's block" and found that awesome picture you see at the top of the page. After seeing the picture, the rest just flowed.

3) Alltop: Most of the office has a account set up on All Top. Search for issues related to your project or search for something completely random. There are tons of useful blogs out there. You may come across the inspiration you need in one of them.

Of course, there are other things you can do to help spark creativity that don't involve your computer.

What are some of your favorite ways of rekindling your creativity? Feel free to share. And if you ever hit a creative wall, feel free to swing by the office and kick the soccer ball with us or maybe watch the next big viral video on YouTube.
